Polytechnicast - Building on a Hunch
In this episode I reflect on how I started out making an experiment in HTML, CSS, JS, and jQuery just out of curiosity. I was wondering if it would feel fun to have a gallery style User Interface for browsing the art posted at 30 Characters. Also: How much time and effort it would take? With a little time and curiosity I set out both to see if it was feasible or if it’d be a giant project in itself. After a bit of exploration, coding, and playing I found out the answer and discovered that it would be a rather handy bit of code for a couple other projects on my list.

Today I share some thoughts on how being up against a wall on a deadline forced me to shed all of the tension and anxiety that I build up through the desire to get a "thumbs up" from my audience. Sometimes I, at least, need to remind myself that it's about the work first.

Lean Into Art Poll: Analog Vs. Digital
Polls. So many polls. Why mess with those pesky things? At Lean Into Art we think they're a fun way to kick off conversations! Everyone's welcome to play along! In our first poll, we're wondering how many artists prefer analog tools to digital or vice versa.
Members of the forum (students and teachers of Lean Into Art workshops) can join in on the next part of the conversation: Why do you prefer Analog, Ditigal, or a little of both?.
