This time we try to wrap our brains around the concept of the Role Model. Who do we admire, and why? We use some of our own Role Models as examples as we model the process of breaking down the specifics of what moves us in the actions of others, and how we attempt to assimilate that information with our own unique perspectives.
At long last Rob is ready to launch his new workshop, Underwater Tomato Ninja at this year's Kids Read Comics and later here at Lean Into Art. Both of us are understandably excited about this, so we spend the majority of this week's episode talking about storytelling in games and "gamification."
We also spend a little bit of time talking about PWWTIWYS, or People What Want to Interact with Your Stuff.
This week we find ourselves thinking a lot about practice. How do we incorporate practice into our busy lives, and how do we identify when shipping on project with related disciplines contributes to practicing? How are all kinds of practice the same, similar, or different?
It's another abstract discussion on keeping our minds focused on the intangibles, the joy of being an eternal learner, and recognizing our failures as signs pointing us in the direction we ultimately need to go.
